So we see, that the fight of the Native American still carries on. They fight for their very existence now as they have always done... as their blood was spilt in the 1860's, so it may be spilt again, but they are not alone this time around, as thousands gather to stand with them, and the world watches on. At the time of this posting, there are 2000 veterans gearing up to go there and support their native brothers, and face the police water cannons, rubber bullets and concussion grenades in sub zero temperatures. The battle continues...

Dakota 38... The Truth... The Killing (Video)
As we approach December 26th 2016, It is time that we see and learn the truth of December 26th 1862. As in a few days from now, many Native Americans and the brave others who stand with them, will be persecuted in North Dakota while they stand bravely against the building of the Keystone oil pipeline or Dakota access pipeline that passes through Native lands, Native Burial grounds and threatens the very water that sustains the land.

Putin Shuts All Trump's Businesses In Russia And Across Europe.
That is the headline that would shock the world, but it will never happen because a President Trump will fold like a cheap suit and give America away to Putin on a silver platter.
Donald Trump has the most wealth of any past presidential candidate invested in Europe, and Putin controls Europe. This makes Trump the highest security risk ever presented or personally faced by a sitting president.
It is no secret that Putin has threatened European countries in the past and he holds too much power by way of his supply lines of fossil fuels.
From Wikipedia...'The Russian Federation supplies a significant volume of fossil fuels and is the largest exporter of oil and natural gas to the European Union. In 2007, the European Union imported from Russia 185 million tonnes of crude oil, which accounted for 32.6% of total oil import, and 100.7 million tonnes of oil equivalent of natural gas, which accounted 38.7% of total gas import.[1]...'
'In 2007, 38.7% of the European Union's natural gas total imports and 24.3% of consumed natural gas originated from Russia.[1][5] As of 2009, Russian natural gas was delivered to Europe through 12 pipelines, of which three were direct pipelines (to Finland, Estonia and Latvia), four through Belarus (to Lithuania and Poland) and five through Ukraine (to Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Poland).[5] In 2011, an additional pipeline, Nord Stream (directly to Germany through the Baltic Sea), opened.[6]'
'The largest importers of Russian gas in the European Union are Germany and Italy, accounting together for almost half of the EU gas imports from Russia. Other larger Russian gas importers (over 5 billion cubic meter per year) in the European Union are France, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Slovakia.[7][8] The largest non-EU importers of Russian natural gas are Ukraine, Turkey and Belarus.[7]'
Trump could have billions invested across Europe and there is no way to stop the Russian strongman Putin from financially ruining Trump, so naturally Trump will succumb to Putin's threat to bankrupt him, and will become Putin's puppet in the White house, as Hillary predicted. Trump does not have the will to refuse Putin.
Trump does not have the resources to go up against a country... Putin has the power of Russia behind him, while Trump is just a businessman. Trump cannot use the power of the White house to wage war against Russia for personal business.

If behind closed doors, Putin orders the European union members to shutter Trump businesses, those countries are helpless to resist such orders as Trumps businesses are not important to the running or existence of these countries. Trump is just one of millions of businesses in Europe so no one will care if he goes out of business.
This is the greatest threat to America and the White House now, as we have never had a President who has so much wealth to lose and is such an easy target to blackmail...

Colombia's Price Of War, Colombia's Price For Peace
Colombia is facing a difficult decision right now...
From the New York Times... 'A narrow margin divided the yes-or-no vote, with 50.2 percent of Colombians rejecting the peace deal and 49.8 percent voting in favor, the government said.... And it left the future of rebels who had planned to rejoin Colombia as civilians — indeed, the future of the war itself, which both sides had declared over — unknown.
Mr. Santos, who appeared humbled by the vote on television on Sunday, said the cease-fire that his government had signed with the FARC would remain in effect. He added that he would soon “convene all political groups,” especially those against the deal, “to open spaces for dialogue and determine how we will go ahead.”
Rodrigo Londoño, the FARC leader, who was preparing to return to Colombia after four years of negotiations in Havana, said he, too, was not interested in more war. “The FARC reiterates its disposition to use only words as a weapon to build toward the future,” he said in a statement. “With today’s result, we know that our challenge as a political party is even greater and requires more effort to build a stable and lasting peace.
The question voters were asked was simple: “Do you support the final agreement to end the conflict and construct a stable and enduring peace?” But it was one that had divided this country for generations, as successive governments fought what seemed to be a war without an end and the Marxist FARC rebels dug into the forest for a hopeless insurgency.
To many Colombians who had endured years of kidnappings and killings by the rebels, the agreement was too lenient. It would have allowed most rank-and-file fighters to start lives as normal citizens, and rebel leaders to receive reduced sentences for war crimes.
“There’s no justice in this accord,” said Roosevelt Pulgarin, 32, a music teacher who cast his ballot against the agreement on a rainy day at an elementary school in Bogotá, the capital. “If ‘no’ wins, we won’t have peace, but at least we won’t give the country away to the guerrillas. '
This feeling of betrayal and the need for revenge and justice is echoed in the resounding but close victory of the 'No' vote.
Unfortunately for all Colombians, while the price for peace is not as horrible as the price of war, it is a bitter pill indeed. It is the only cure for what ails Colombia and it is a difficult price to pay but it is the best remedy for this 52 year curse.
The cry for justice alone, cannot cure the pain or right the wrongs... The price for peace lies in the giving up of the blood lust for revenge and for a justice that can not make up for the blood spilled in the last 52 years.
Giving up the hatred and the need for revenge, giving in to the need for peace and progress, accepting the country's need to move on without retribution on either side, is the only way forward.
There are many on both sides who have lost loved ones, the taking of more lives and prolonging the bitterness is not what Colombia needs. There are many who can't bring themselves to forgive the other side... and no one has to.
All anyone has to do is lay down their arms and lay down the rhetoric of war, walk away from the rational idea of avenging their dead. That is the price of peace... just giving up on the hate, the rage, the anger.
Turning away from war and embracing peace is the bitter pill that is needed now. Sometimes the simple decision is the most difficult to put in motion and carry out.
Centuries ago, when the battle was over, both sides went home and nursed their wounds, they embraced those on their side who were left, those who lived, and they rebuilt their lives.
That is the price of peace now for Colombia. Just give up the need for justice, there is no justice during war, neither is there justice after war... there never was and there never will be for those who have lost friends, family and countrymen.
Both sides need to give up and just move on to a peaceful tomorrow. This is the price of peace.

Standardized Testing Is Great But Parents Don't Get It.
What do parents not get? Their job is to prepare their kids for school. When they send the kids to school, the children will pay attention to what is being taught, absorb the lessons like a sponge and they will progress at a higher level and a much faster pace.
I can write about this because I have seen the success kids can have, from the inside. Parents don't have to sit and help their kids with homework, you simply have to prepare the child to want to do it, to want to do the hard work to get ahead. Parents are not the ones in class, so how can you do the homework? I did not have to help my kids with homework.
It is easy to do if you understand what needs to be done. Children are distracted from all sides with issues that they sometimes do not understand in the world, and the parent has to realize this and steady the child, by talking to them and explaining things on their level. This helps to keep the children calm and steady as they face the challenges of getting a good education.
The earlier you start to inspire your child it will greatly improve their trajectory. They can get into advanced classes and programs given at their schools. Essentially you want to get them in an advanced program by grade school, sometime before middle school.
It may be something as simple as showing them expensive things like nice cars and houses and letting them know that they are capable of getting these things with a good education and a good job. It is not that we are trying to make the child grow up to be materialistic, it is a parent's trick to inspire their child... like Santa Clause being real. Children will believe you, so make the fantasy and the stories grand.
As they get older, they understand more and you introduce them to the idea of doing good things and having pride in themselves, you teach them that they can become great leaders and that everyone will appreciate their leadership qualities. You impress upon them how far they can get by being a strong leader, and you always remind them of how proud you are of them, re-enforcing that they have your support.
I taught my kids that there is no word called 'best' in their vocabulary. Instead they should focus on the word 'better' and use that to propel themselves forward. So if they came home with a 90 on their test or grade B in something, then they will build on that tomorrow and better that grade. In short, best means something final, the end on their effort, while bettering that grade is what they want to work on each day. So they are always climbing upward.
Be prepared to give the child an extra boost by paying for extra lessons, I did... so they can use that boost to get into the advanced classes. The advanced classes get a better deal, they go from middle school to the best high schools. At these better high schools, they get to compete for scholarships given by companies who will pay for their collage costs and give them a great job when the kids graduate.
It is the difference between a starting salary of under $50k, and one over that amount. I have seen kids who start with $100k salaries... so the sky is the limit if you as the parent get inside their heads at an early age.
The new fad is parents are using all sorts of excuses to prevent their kids from taking standardized testing, thinking they are doing something good for their kids when it is really the opposite. Children who are not allowed to prepare for and do the tests, are being held back academically, and they will suffer those consequences later on.
Both my kids went to public school in Queens NY, from PS 100, to PS 124, Then to MS226 and then on to Stuyvesant High School. So they stayed in the public school system from start to finish, the point being the schools and the teaching curriculum is fine, the secret is the child and what the parent puts in their heads to prepare them for learning in school. When children are inspired then you don't have to do much, just a little guidance and inspiration along the way... I did this.
All this talk about charter schools and vouchers is just garbage. In my opinion it does not matter if you put your child in the newest or best rated school. If your child does not want to pay attention in class and learn, and absorb the work being taught... nothing will happen. You as the parent have to inspire your child at the earliest opportunity, when you can still mold their little minds, and just hold their hands and guide them along the way.
Don't distract your child with anything outside of study and play. To do so may be your and their undoing. Whether its common core or something else, testing is great to identify the areas that kids are weaker in, and then you as the parent finds solutions, like extra lessons... don't find excuses, to stop their testing. I have written on this subject before.

Immigrants Are America's New Hope
It is troubling that immigrants in America have been facing a new wave of hateful verbal attacks from Republican sources led by Donald Trump and his surrogates. It is even more troubling that these same immigrants will turn out to be America's last grasp at greatness. Troubling because the Trumpers want to deport all 11 million immigrants... up to this writing.
To begin with, immigrants pump some 90 billion dollars into the American economy each year. Much of this money is paid into Social Security, which is depended on by a majority of white Americans many of whom are the same ones against immigrants and their presence here. There are more white Americans using Social Security services than any of the minority groups. But this is not the problem.
There is a bigger problem looming in America that no one seems to have noticed, and no one is talking about it, in America. This larger and increasing threat to America comes in the form of education and the dwindling resource it threatens to become... this is where immigrants and their children, may well turn out to be America's greatest hand to play.
Be assured the rest of the world is well aware of this issue as America sinks ever lower in the list of well educated countries that can equip their citizens with needed skills, and embrace the challenges of a growing technological global marketplace.
America's problem stems from the new fad that seems to be increasing every year. Parents are opting out of properly educating their kids and that is holding these brilliant kids back. I wrote about this for the past two years and it is increasing.
When parents follow each other and resist having their kids do common core or standardized testing, they set a lower educational trajectory for their kids and ultimately their kids come out of school at a lower level than others who did the hard work... these others ultimately end up being the immigrant children, who then are the ones left with the responsibility of moving America forward, competing in an ever growing technological global marketplace.
No matter how good the parents' intentions are, even children who are home schooled are missing out on things they should experience while growing up, and this may pose a challenge for the child later on. I have heard that some home schooled kids do well academically, but I hasten to add that most home schooled children are the ones who are distracted by other things that are injected by the parent, and thus they still may not realize their full potential.
CNN... 'In New Jersey, lawmakers recently approved a measure that would require schools to accommodate parents who opt out of testing by providing alternative activities such as independent reading for their children.
Immigrants have one focus, to educate their children, as they are taught that education is the only way for their kids and their families to get out of poverty. Everything else is second to that.
So while some children are kept back by their parents, immigrant kids are going through these same school systems snubbed by the American parents, and they , the immigrant kids end up winning. They win because there are limited spaces available in advanced classes at all schools, and if American kids aren't competing for those spaces, they are being filled by immigrant kids more and more.
It is not that the American kids don't want to fill the space in the advanced class, it is that they are prevented from being competitive...by their parents, so they lose out. Advanced kids get into advanced colleges, their trajectories are higher.... from CNN '... the New York State Allies for Public Education -- 156,000 students refused to take this week's English exam, and that's with just from 50% of the districts reporting their numbers....With approximately 1.1 million students eligible to take the tests in grades 3-8 in New York, that means at least 14% of students are projected to sit out this year. According to the state education department, last year about 49,000 (4%) didn't have a known valid reason for not taking the English test and 67,000 (6%) didn't take the math exam.'
The end result is the immigrant children end up getting high five figure and even six figure jobs right out of college while many American children fall by the wayside or graduate into a lower paying job... or settle in to a manufacturing or construction job. I see this in the larger cities, where immigrant kids are graduating from specialized high schools and are thriving, in the spaces left by American kids.
Immigrant children go on to take up the challenges of the global marketplace in an effort to keep America from descending into the global market abyss and keep America strong, competitive and in the higher echelons of the marketplace.
America is now being sold on the idea of bringing back manufacturing jobs to America, these jobs will be low paying jobs and may be enough for families to stay afloat, but if parents do not keep their kids focused on higher education, then America may end up becoming some third world manufacturing low wage hub... soon 'Made in America' may carry as much weight as made is China, or Taiwan, or Bangladesh...
There is a new uproar now, to get rid of the Sanctuary cities that accomodate large numbers of immigrant families. If this is done, the only loser wil be... America.

New Drugless Approach To Diabetes
I have recently discovered a new drugless approach to diabetes and how we can better understand the disease and possible cure. First of all, after seeing what Dr. Jacob Jung and other doctors have been achieving with diabetic patients and the positive results they seem to be getting, I am very excited as to the future.
I now think of the disease more in tune with that of a condition... a condition that can be reversed and maybe even extinguished like a bad blaze. I will let the good doctor explain...

Donald Trump has been in the public's view his whole life. We have all seen the ups and downs of his life play out in the public eye from day one. The public has seen the start of his career, the building of his empire and his rise to fame and fortune over the years.
As with all billionaires, you develop an attitude over the years that always includes narcissism, and if your inclination is to feed that beast, it is sure to best you in the end. Billionaire narcissists tend to keep a low profile generally but as their close friends and relatives will tell you, many if not most, are not so warm and fuzzy behind closed doors... being quite eccentric at heart.
Donald has fed his narcissism for decades and this brings up a particular problem for him, the same old has now become old. The thrill of being the 'it' guy, the center of attraction has faded. Donald now has to elbow his way through the other billionaires just to be noticed. At the country club he is not special anymore, he is just one of the many. His beast hungers... his ego needs sustenance.
He caught a break with his TV show, and that calmed his ego beast for some years, but alas, this too has passed.
Donald has the foresight needed as a businessman to understand the new opportunity when it presents itself, hence his presidential bid. Donald has to acquire something the other billionaires don't have, and the distinction of being addressed as 'Mr. President' by everyone, including the other billionaires is the crowning achievement. This will feed his narcissistic beast for a long time... maybe even forever, he hopes.
Does Donald care that he will have to actually do the job now and again? Well, he has a solution for that, he will simply delegate the groundwork to his staff and simply make an appearance when the work is done, like all good bosses do. It's that simple.
This approach of delegating most if not all the jobs to surrogates is different from other Presidents in that the others actually went in themselves and was part of the whole process. Donald does not have the time and patience for that. Donald can't be sympathetic, empathic and dedicated to solutions that serve others, because Donald's upbringing did not allow him the space to develop this mindset.
He simply can't feel what he needs to feel, as poor people and poor nations do. He has always been on the other side of the fence... being the vulture, taking advantage, cannibalizing and profiteering from these poor people, companies and nations. His confession of using the system to file bankruptcies in the past, thereby wreaking havoc on smaller companies and thousands of their workers bears this out.
For him as the leader of a nation to start developing feelings of sympathy and empathy so late in his life and in just a few months after being elected to the office, is something not even he can do. It takes years to understand and develop sympathy and empathy, quick and empty words are not enough. Donald is not interested in being a community organizer, he never was and never will be, it is beneath his status, as a billionaire.
Donald's only wish, is not to hold office, but really to acquire the title, so he can prove himself above the growing mountain of other billionaires, as the thrill of everything has already worn off and is now boring to a long in the tooth billionaire. The other billionaires being made to unwillingly address him as 'Mr. President' is the only thing that will stroke his narcissism one more time... for the Don...

Uninformed Parents Make Stunted Kids.
The US has a Global ranking of 16th in literacy and 27th in Math as of 2015. That is not good.
There are thousands of inexperienced parents across America allowing their kids to opt out of testing this week and every year now it seems, with all sorts of reasons ranging from the testing being too rigorous, to it's too time consuming for the kids, to the idea that someone is making money off the testing.
Now the bad news... next to your kids' classroom, there is another classroom filled with kids the same ages as your kids, who are doing a gifted or advanced class. These kids are not smarter than your kids...
This is the class you want to get your child into, because these kids will have different entities, non profits, and fortune 500 corporations offering to pay fully for their college costs, with the after college possibility of going to work immediately for the corporation or being placed in a job immediately upon graduation. All for free.
When you refuse to have your child do the tests, they will not be accepted into a gifted or advanced kids program. You are forcing your child to stay in a regular class and miss out on the extra help that the advanced kids receive.
Firstly, why are you helping your kids? If they pay attention in class , ask questions and do research, you will not need to help them. I couldn't understand my kids' homework because I was not in their class... I was at work. So they are the ones to do the homework, not me.
The question is where do you want your child to enter the job market? Would you want your child to make below 65k or above 75k, when they are fresh out of college at 22 or 24yrs old?. So... At what stage do you want your kids' eventual level of education and qualification to be? Do you want to get them to their flipping burgers stage or to the rocket science stage?
When they go to middle school, they have a very limited number of years in which to learn certain things and they will have no time in High School to re-learn what they missed in those prior years. I remember my kids telling me that in their specialized high school (Stuyvesant)... they were told that their choice is simple.... sleep or study.

These well meaning, inexperienced parents are dumbing down America, by dumbing down their kids. Many if not most of these parents are first timers and are just now having their first experience at getting their kids ready for college and the global job market.
Many are called 'Helicopter parents' for a reason and a little less of that hovering could prove to be a lot more helpful to their kids ... and the US as well. Unfortunately while they are hearing from all sides about the issues they and their children face in preparation for college, many are listening without hearing certain things....
As an experienced parent, I would like to add my voice. My experience comes from having one child enter the job market and the other finishing her last year of college in 2016. I have been there through the years, I understand the fears parents have.

Neil Degrasse Tyson said in an interview on WNYC that reverse engineering something could have be done years ago because we were doing physics, but today we are using nanotechnology and Quantum Physics ...
That statement alone reveals a stark reality...With a global marketplace we need to have a student that has a more global standard of education, as there are no more borders with the advent of the internet.
CNN had some interesting interviews on this topic which parents should watch for themselves. Just click the CNN link.
As Melinda Gates mentioned in one interview, trajectory is important to a child. I would even say trajectory is everything to a growing mind. Parents must realize that a child's brain is a muscle... a muscle that needs exercise and challenges to grow, or they will get bored easily in class. Set your childs trajectory to a high level because that is really what they are capable of.
First rule in class... pay attention. Learning is or should mostly be done in class. Homework is just an opportunity to reaffirm what you learned in class and revise, and expand on it... having already gotten the basics in the classroom. Don't be afraid of having them take extra lessons after school to catch up in what they are lacking. I did that myself 40 years ago.
I know there are parents with kids who have certain disabilities, these tests will identify those kids so they can get the individual help they need without slowing down the rest of the class, the future depends on that.

These standardized tests that kids are being allowed to opt out of are the building blocks of a great education, which gets them into a great High school and then a great College and an even greater job. The tests are their foundation blocks for the educated self that they are building.
The more they face the challenges of preparing for each test, they are putting the building blocks in place. If they opt out they have damaged that building process and it will impact them severly in their later years.
When they get into high school, they will do so in a diminished capacity and they now have a limited number of years to learn everything from foreign languages and programming to rocket science, they can't slow down to try to catch up on anything they missed out in their earlier years.
Same idea applies to middle school, they will be slowed down if they are allowed to not prepare for testing in their earlier years.
Testing and preparing for the tests, is their greatest opportunity for their next step, whether that next step is Middle school, High School, or College. Testing is an opportunity they simply can't afford to miss out on, and the preparation for these tests are priceless.
From the CNN article..."It's really a way of making children think for themselves and have teachers speak less and students become more responsible for their learning," said a teacher and a mom of two who didn't want to be identified. "I feel the teaching has become better because of what's expected. Where we go wrong is understanding that the Common Core is a guideline and we still have to meet the needs of the students where they are academically."
She also said parents -- rather than educators -- too often are the ones putting too much stress on students about the test."
