Freedom of religion and indeed freedom from religion is a basic right in America. Religious freedom is one of the really important things that I would like to remain intact because as the days go by, the separation between church and state seems to shrink as more Republicans try to keep the pressure up on their war against women, while denying that they are actually waging that war.
We all have seen the various attacks from Republicans on women and women's issues, with those attacks becoming more idiotic, going from vehemently restricting the use of contraception, to the definition of person-hood of fertilized eggs, to the House Bill HR3 by Mitt Romney's VP hopeful Paul Ryan, which even tries to define rape, whether it is forcible or not, real or not, in an effort to force women to have unwanted babies without any concern for the women who are forced to have these rape babies...after being 'forcibly' raped.
It is all well and good to preach your version of religion and the highs of it as opposed to your perceived low points in someone else's religion, but it is not okay to try to force your religious opinions and views on me through changes in law that affect me and mine. It is just not okay.
If there was any intelligent reasons put forth by the Republicans other than religious ones, to substantiate their misguided war on women, I would be inclined to weigh the argument on the merits.
When the birth control pill was approved for public use in the 1960's, it was expressly invented and used for the control of conception, but over the past decades the pill has become far more important to most women as a tool to relieve symptoms or cure a plethora of medical complaints, the combination of which far outnumber the volume of use for the specific purpose for which it was first invented. That term of 'Birth Control Pill' is now so '60's and outdated.
The religious views about why contraception should be outlawed is equally outdated, as the medical pills are now an integral part of the attack of disease and women's issues now more than ever. It is imperative that these medical pills, which now vary with different combinations and doses of medicines, to fight differing symptoms and complaints, be used for the continuing wellness of our female population.
I am happy that the various churches are voicing their own views on women's reproductive issues in their churches and religious circles, but when laws are enacted that affect fellow Americans outside of the churches, then it is an act of war on the very people that said laws were meant to protect. As a direct result of restricting the use of those medical pills that are intended for purposes of relieving medical problems, many women would suffer excruciating pain, heavy bleeding and many will die.
This is not an issue of religious freedom as Republicans claim, this is a bogus attempt to curb and eliminate women's rights under the guise of 'Religious Freedom', because someone's 'scriptures' says so. The Republicans' 'War on women' is indeed alive and on going, do not be fooled...and don't tread on me!

The Real Paul Ryan Is Revealed By His Own Words...and The Atlas Society!!
The real Paul Ryan is a bit difficult to pin down, first he is said to have been an ardent supporter of Ayn Rand and her philosophies and more recently when he realized he was hitting the big times, he all of a sudden denied many of the things that he himself is RECORDED to have said. He is now quoted as saying that these past ideas of him being her 'disciple' is an urban myth.
His apparent self loathing of his past as a person who grew up using the Government dollar to get by, is evident in his actions over the years in his multiple attempts to stymie that same Government help to others. I remind you that Ayn Rand also used that Government dollar to get by in her later years, so there may be less of a difference between Ryan and Rand than we first thought.
In response to Paul Ryan's hypocrisy and outright lies about his past, The Atlas Society has been forced [or just seen it fit] to present the real truth, about the REAL Paul Ryan, as recorded by them at their function in 2005, where Paul Ryan spoke to them. Below are pieces of the transcript as presented by The Atlas Society, they have also given a download of the recorded event, at the bottom of their article. Just click on their name to access the article.

From The Atlas Society...
"Some exerpts from the audio (with minute and second markers):
(1:45) I just want to speak to you a little bit about Ayn Rand and what she meant to me in my life and [in] the fight we’re engaged here in Congress. I grew up on Ayn Rand, that’s what I tell people..you know everybody does their soul-searching, and trying to find out who they are and what they believe, and you learn about yourself.
(2:01) I grew up reading Ayn Rand and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are, and what my beliefs are. It’s inspired me so much that it’s required reading in my office for all my interns and my staff. We start with Atlas Shrugged. People tell me I need to start with The Fountainhead then go to Atlas Shrugged [laughter]. There’s a big debate about that. We go to Fountainhead, but then we move on, and we require Mises and Hayek as well.
"I always go back to... Francisco d’Anconia’s speech [in Atlas Shrugged] on money when I think about monetary policy."
(2:23) But the reason I got involved in public service, by and large, if I had to credit one thinker, one person, it would be Ayn Rand. And the fight we are in here, make no mistake about it, is a fight of individualism versus collectivism.
(2:38) In almost every fight we are involved in here, on Capitol Hill, whether it’s an amendment vote that I’ll take later on this afternoon, or a big piece of policy we’re putting through our Ways and Means Committee, it is a fight that usually comes down to one conflict: individualism vs. collectivism.
(2:54) And so when you take a look at where we are today, ah, some would say we’re on offense, some would say we’re on defense, I’d say it’s a little bit of both. And when you look at the twentieth-century experiment with collectivism—that Ayn Rand, more than anybody else, did such a good job of articulating the pitfalls of statism and collectivism—you can’t find another thinker or writer who did a better job of describing and laying out the moral case for capitalism than Ayn Rand.
(3: 21) It’s so important that we go back to our roots to look at Ayn Rand’s vision, her writings, to see what our girding, under-grounding [sic] principles are. I always go back to, you know, Francisco d’Anconia’s speech (at Bill Taggart’s wedding) on money when I think about monetary policy. And then I go to the 64-page John Galt speech, you know, on the radio at the end, and go back to a lot of other things that she did, to try and make sure that I can check my premises so that I know that what I’m believing and doing and advancing are square with the key principles of individualism…
(6:53) Is this an easy fight? Absolutely not…But if we’re going to actually win this we need to make sure that we’re solid on premises, that our principles are well-defended, and if we want to go and articulately defend these principles and what they mean to our society, what they mean for the trends that we set internationally, we have to go back to Ayn Rand. Because there is no better place to find the moral case for capitalism and individualism than through Ayn Rand’s writings and works. "
One comment on their article said of the choice between a supposed Socialist [Obama] and a KNOWN SOCIOPATH [Ryan] ... they would choose the first. I concur!!
Watch out for this guy.

Meet The Most Dangerous Man In The World.
The world watched in absolute horror when George W Bush launched two wars and plunged the world into darkness, now there is one man who threatens to do things that could prove to be even worse. We may well be on the verge of a third world war.
Mitt Romney could well become the most dangerous man in the world if he is elected to be the US President. The Wall Street Journal... "Mitt Romney is relying on both moderate and hawkish neoconservative advisers ...” many of these advisers were Bush operatives.
Some of the names from Romney's list are as follows...
- Henry Kissinger (Nixon's Secretary of State)
- James Baker (George H.W. Bush's Secretary of State)
- Cofer Black (former CIA official, former vice president of Blackwater International)
- Eliot Cohen (George W. Bush's State Department official)
- Paula Dobriansky (George W. Bush's State Department official)
- Norm Coleman
- John Bolton (George W. Bush's former UN ambassador)
- John Lehman (Reagan's Secretary of the Navy)
- George Shultz (Reagan's Secretary of State)
- Richard Williamson (George W. Bush's Assistant Secretary of State)
- Michael Chertoff (Bush's Homeland Security Secretary)
- Michael Hayden (created warrantless wiretapping programs for Bush)
Dick Cheney is also rumored to become an adviser to Mitt, since he now has a new heart and promises to be around for a long time. It is said that he will be MItt's 'Handler" as he was for Bush, in short being the President behind the scenes.
"Mr. Romney's campaign rhetoric suggests he isn't shying away from some of the tough policies
advocated by his party's neoconservatives. He has issued sharp warnings about steps he would
take to keep Iran from securing a nuclear weapon, dubbed Russia the nation's "No. 1 geopolitical
foe" and has promised severe sanctions against China."
"There is John Lehman, the Secretary of the Navy in the Reagan administration, who sources say is a lead actor in the Romney cast. Then there are Michael Chertoff and Michael Hayden, the Homeland Security secretary and CIA director who both served under President George W. Bush. Two former GOP senators, Norm Coleman of Minnesota and Jim Talent of Missouri, also are on Romney's team.
The supporting cast is also composed of Washington's security and foreign policy veterans: Eric Edleman and Dov Zakheim, who held high-level Pentagon posts under the younger Bush. Zakheim's son, Roger, a senior staffer on the House Armed Services Committee, is also assisting Romney, along with Dan Senor and Megan O'Sullivan, who emerged as major players during the Iraq war."
On his recent visit to Israel and Poland, Mr. Romney seemed to suggest that he is more than willing to start a third world war by encouraging and Israeli attack that is sure to draw a sharp and heated response from Russia and China...should he be elected President.
This falls well in line with the mindless decisions George Bush made in cow-towing to the Neo-cons' war mongering schemes, when he started the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These are the same war-mongering neo-cons who Mitt Romney is now surrounding himself with.
I am reminded of Dwight Eisenhower's speech in which he warns about the Military Industrial Complex and the trouble they would cause if allowed to fester and grow. Halliburton, KBR and Blackwater is proof that his warnings have come to fruition, these companies are the ones that supply the armed military contractors in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. They also provide the necessary infrastructure and day to day supplies needed for those wars.
Mitt Romney must not be elected, as he will surely make George Bushes wars seem like child'splay.

Guns Don't Kill People, People Kill People...So Give Ahmadinejad Some Nukes.
There are some really stupid people who swallow this crazy bumper sticker quote hook, line and sinker. The quote is 'Guns don't kill people, people kill people". By some coincidence these are the same people who insist that there should be less gun regulation for the masses.
The reason this less thinking and gullible crowd has been convinced by the gun manufacturers that they need guns is that the manufacturers want to sell guns to them and they are just the unthinking pawns that buy the guns. There is really no good reason why they need the guns, I guess the guns are just shiny.
The simple way the gun crowd is convinced is by telling them the 2nd amendment demands it. Obviously the gun crowd mostly have not read and understood the law. The NRA has been the gun lobbyists for the gun manufacturers because there are 3 million members of the NRA and they are willing to spend a little extra dollars as a donation to the NRA when they buy their weapons and ammo.
They call it 'round it up', this is where your bill of $392 will be 'rounded up' to $400, that $8 donation accounts for some of the millions that the NRA now accumulates and uses to lobby.
The gullible gun buyers are convinced by the NRA that they need assault weapons and 100 round magazines for said guns, just in case the US Government and that black 'muslim' guy in office or any other democrat in the President's office in the future, tries to 'take over the country'.
Times have changed since the constitution was written...we now have drones, satellite guided missiles, gun ships...F16 with really big guns and bunker busting bombs...
In other words, these little bands of militia will go up against the US Army, US Navy and US Air Force with their little assault weapons. The militias all over the US are training in wooded areas as we speak...right now. The gun manufacturers are laughing their asses off...all the way to the banks, which incidentally are in the Cayman islands, Switzerland, and other foreign places.
Don't they need to buy RPG's and Tanks as well? How are they going to face the F16 gunships and drones that will be used against them? Real hunters hate the NRA and assault weapons... and are not afraid to call in to radio talk shows to say that.
The assault weapons lovers have made their presence and mentality known over the past few years, coming out to rallies with loaded assault weapons and have become the vociferous and mindless pawns in the biggest legal gun racket the country has ever seen...which is; sell millions of guns and trillions of rounds of ammo to those stupid enough to buy them...shiny.
The talking point that seems to have convinced the masses is that they need the guns for hunting. Well, if you pump 100 bullets into a deer, you won't be able to eat or mount it. DUH!!
The stupidity of the title above is exposed with the idea that guns don't kill people, it's their favorite mantra, so give everyone all the weapons they want, but for the short sighted out there, this surely includes giving Nukes to Iran and North Korea, because only people kill people...not weapons...not such a good idea huh? How about giving weapons to the rebels in Syria, and other places...something their pride and joy President Reagan loved to do. Remember the Iran Contra affair?
The gullible forget one basic fact, guns were made to kill people. Assault weapons are made to kill people...not multiple deer or sheep in a herd or some stupid idea like that. Guns are made to kill people.
The latest shooting in Colorado has all the mindless calling in to radio talk shows, demanding guns for everyone. They are saying that a theater full of gun toting well-intentioned folks would have taken out the shooter.
But riddle me this Batman, when the well-intentioned folks (heroes) shoot back at the assailant from different locations, in a dark theater, with flickering lights, wouldn't the other gun toters think that the shooter has an accomplice? Then everyone would also start shooting at the hero who was shooting at the assailant in the first place, and everyone else would be caught in the crossfire...which will start an even bigger shoot-up with the rest pulling their guns.
The result would have been dozens dead and almost everyone wounded.

Mitt Romney, Bain, Reagan And Salvadoran Death Squads...
Mitt Romney had strong financial support in the early days of Bain Capital from some pretty secretive people in his past, people linked to the famous death squads of El Salvador. There were many powerful Salvadoran families in the 1980's who having made large sums of money through various means, needed a way to move the money out of the country and invest it in more 'legitimate' ventures, an effort to 'clean' the funds and make them grow in a legal way.
The 1980's was a time of great turmoil in El Salvador resulting in the deaths of more than 70,000 people, with assassinations, death squads, and every other bad thing under the sun happening all at once in the country... the Reagan Administration working with the powers in control of the country at that time, did many things that do not look so good on paper, now that the truth is being dug up due to Mitt's run for the presidency.
The Reagan Administration's dealings with the government provided the cover and connections needed for the powerful oligarchy to move money into many American ventures, including a certain new and budding Bain Capital, through a fresh and young Mitt Romney, who was just cutting his teeth in the vulture capitalism arena at the time...
"Back in 1984, wealthy Salvadoran families were looking for safe investments as violence and upheaval engulfed the country. The war, which pitted leftist guerrillas against a right-wing government backed by the Reagan administration, ultimately left over 70,000 people dead in the tiny nation before the United Nations brokered a peace deal in 1992. The vast majority of violence, a UN truth commission later found, was committed by rightist death squads and the military, which received U.S. training and $6 billion in military and economic aid. The Reagan administration feared that El Salvador could become a foothold for Communists in Central America." ...Salon.com
"A Costa Rica-born Bain official named Harry Strachan invited friends and former clients in Central America to a presentation about the fund with Romney in Miami. The group found his presentation impressive and “signed up for 20% of the fund,” according to Strachan’s memoir. That was about $6.5 million, according to the Globe. Bain partners themselves were putting up half the money, according to Strachan. Thus the Central American investors had contributed 40 percent of the outside capital."
Apparently Mitt Romney had no problem taking what is arguably blood money, to do his vulture capital investments...this is not the guy you want as President of the free world.

New Documents Could Prove Mitt Romney Committed A Felony
The bombshell news hit the fan on none other than Friday 13th! Mitt Romney may have backed himself in a corner this time and no amount of lying liars on various radio and Cable 'news' stations can change the facts... that Mitt committed a felony when he lied on his Federal Disclosure form.
There have been at least six documents signed by Mr. Romney and filed with the SEC, that shows that he indeed had been working in some capacity at Bain after the time that he insists he had left Bain [1999] to work on running the Olympic Games.
The SEC documents offer a timeline that runs parallel to his claim in 1999 to the Boston Herald that he wouls still have maintained a presence with Bain, staying on part-time to provide some input on investments and key decisions, something that all good CEO's are paid handsomely to do...translation...he was still working there.
Mr. Romney also had a problem when running for Governor of Massachusetts as many accused him then of not living in the state at the time and as a result should not be allowed to run. Mitt testified at a 2002 hearing that he still attended board meetings for at least one Bain affiliated company...

Mr. Romney also had a problem when running for Governor of Massachusetts as many accused him then of not living in the state at the time and as a result should not be allowed to run. Mitt testified at a 2002 hearing that he still attended board meetings for at least one Bain affiliated company...
From HuffingtonPost... "As part of running for governor, Romney was required to submit personal financial disclosure statements to Massachusetts' State Ethics Commission under threat of perjury. In his 2001 disclosure statement, he listed himself as "Former Executive" for both Bain Capital Inc. and Bain Capital LLC, with a gross income of more than $100,000. But in his 2002 disclosure statement, he provided a different answer, listing himself as "Executive" of Bain Capital Inc. and Bain Capital LLC, with a gross income of more than $100,000. The latter may be one instance in which Romney and the SEC filings agree on his role." ...
This in turn now proves that Romney is lying to the American people in his recent statements that he has not been working for Bain since 1999. This is such a tangled web he is weaving I see little way out for him, short of bowing out of the Presidential race. The mounting pressure to come clean about Bain and to release enough of his tax returns to prove his story and substantiate his recent condemnation of growing interest by the American public, is something that may become too big a job to handle for the Mittster... this is even bigger than the now famous 3AM call.
"Ten years ago, when I ran against Mitt Romney for Governor, my campaign was attacked for misstating the truth about Romney's tenure at Bain Capital. Massachusetts voters were told that Romney was absolutely not the leader of Bain at a time when bankruptcies and layoffs were devastating workers at companies in their portfolio," [Shannon] O'Brien told HuffPost in an email. "Recent news stories now present clear evidence that Mitt Romney didn’t tell the truth to Massachusetts when he ran for Governor in 2002 and he's not telling the truth to the American people today."
From MSNBC.com... "On Thursday, Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on a conference call with reporters that the SEC filings revealed either 1) that Romney's involvement with Bain extended beyond 1999 and he wasn't being truthful to the voters, or 2) that he and Bain made a mistatement on goverment documents, which could be a felony.
In response, Romney might have called upon President Obama to "rein in" his campaign.
"The president's campaign has been I think outrageous I think in making the charges they have," Romney said. "I think the kinds of attacks are beneath the dignity of the presidency. I think the president needs to rein in his campaign and start talking about the real issues people care about which relate to our economy."
In an interview with Virginia television station WJLA earlier Friday afternoon, President Obama weighed in on the controversy, saying that he thought the debate over when Romney left Bain was relevant to the national conversation because it strikes at the issue of responsibility, and that he thought Romney would have to answer questions about his Bain tenure sooner, rather than later."
Oh what a tangled web of lies and deceit we weave...when we try to deceive...

Outsourcing In The Airline Industry Means Death!!
"Attention All Passengers" is the name of his new book. The author is none other than William McGee.
William McGee is a former airlines operations manager who has made a career as an aviation journalist, writing for Consumer Reports and other publications. He's an FAA-licensed aircraft dispatcher and in 2010 was named the sole consumer advocate to the Future of Aviation Advisory Committee, formed to make recommendations to the Department of Transportation.
In an interview on NPR, McGee outlined what he has encountered in the outsourcing of Airline repairs and maintenance that is quite startling...
"Aircraft maintenance and repairs are also frequently outsourced — in some cases to unlicensed mechanics in China, Singapore, Mexico and El Salvador."

"In my view, it's a critical safety issue — the FAA's lack of oversight of maintenance [in these countries]," he says. "It used to be, if an airline had a major maintenance facility, the FAA had an office, and an inspector could pop by anytime [to monitor the repairs]. Now, with work being done [overseas], I've had dozens of inspectors express their frustration that they can't do their jobs. They're [FAA] monitoring this work on an honor system."
"Mechanics have told McGee that planes come back from their maintenance trips and are not ready to fly."
"Among the problems they've talked about are doors that were not sealed properly... There are problems with engines that have had to be shut down, and there are serious problems that have led to smoke in the cabin," he says. "And any time you have smoke in the cabin, that could lead to catastrophe. These airplanes are coming back in conditions where additional work needs to be done to get them back online, in many cases."
"The Federal Aviation Administration does not require airlines to list the subcontractors they work with. And finding out that information can be quite difficult, says McGee."

These airplanes are coming back in conditions where additional work needs to be done to get them back online, in many cases."
"The Federal Aviation Administration does not require airlines to list the subcontractors they work with. And finding out that information can be quite difficult, says McGee."
"Independent government organizations, including the Government Accountability Office and the Department of Transportation's Inspector General's Office, have gone to the airlines and said, 'Where is the work being done and who's doing it?' " says McGee.
"And the airlines, amazingly, have responded that they're not clear, in some cases. To me, this is just mind-boggling. ... Congressional testimony has shown that the FAA does not even have a full sense of where the work is being done."
Any of these problems can cause fatal results while flying at 30,000 feet, McGee went on to identify two crashes that the FAA has said was caused by improper maintenance and repairs.
One of these crashes was 'ValuJet Flight 592...
This from the NYTimes..."Valenzuela was a mechanic for the now-defunct airline maintenance contractor SabreTech, the focus of what became the first ever criminal prosecution over a U.S. airline crash.
According to EPA, Valenzuela allegedly helped certify that a set of cabin oxygen generators had been properly removed and replaced. His actions, the agency said, caused those generators to be loaded on ValuJet Flight 592 without proper markings, safety caps, packaging and other safety measures. Those oxygen generators played a key role in the fire that caused the crash."
"The NTSB report also noted that ValuJet had not properly overseen its contract maintenance program to ensure compliance with hazardous materials requirements and practices"
McGee went on to say that the subcontracting companies that the repair jobs are outsourced to, in turn went on to outsource the job again, to another set of unqualified people not licensed in America or the Foreign countries where the work eventually takes place.
He added that in one instance, a surfboard shop was given the job to work on an Airplane body part that contained similar materials common to both surfboards and the Airplane's parts... the FAA luckily stopped that one in time.
Luck?
Luck?
Even though the FAA maintains that there are industry standards that are being adhered to by the large Commercial Airplane companies, an additional level of problems arise when these large carriers contract smaller regional fliers to handle smaller pieces of the flight from one destination to another, via connecting flights.
